4th Transnational Meeting in Sassari, Italy
The University of Sassari hosted the 4th Transnational Meeting in Sassari, Italy on June 26 and 27, 2024. The event brought together several stakeholders from various sectors to participate in critical project updates, strategic planning, and future collaborations.
Meeting overview
The two-day meeting was planned to discuss major areas in the first half, wherein topics included Financial Reporting and Budget Overview. Partners also analyzed the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the deliverables for the accomplishment of the project’s milestones. The day focused on an interactive road map session, through which partners were given a graphical and strategic view of the project’s development.
Additionally, partners engaged in an Internal Feedback Session on the DigiTrans Hub, with a discussion on how effective the Learning Corner and then the Collaborative Corner were. The PR4 Methodology session helped to ensure that the Focus Group Methodology was re-visited in detail and set the context of regional setups because of expert validation.
Highlights of Day 2
The second day commenced with a warm wrap-up and the outcome of the discussion. Finally, it concluded with some closing remarks and a question-answer section where clarity on some of the issues raised was sought.
Site Visits and Collaborations
In addition to the discussion, partners managed to go for various site visits. University of Sassari-based CUBACT incubator presented several innovative projects, which showed the guiding path on how they motivate young and novice breed emergence of entrepreneurship and technology in their region.
This visit to Abinsula was accompanied by a visit to their new facilities and an overview of new projects and innovations. However, most enlightening was the live demonstration of the project platform, followed by another interactive session where experts offered feedback and probed opportunities for potential collaboration.
Partners visited an Agricultural High School, which has four monitoring stations, an automated greenhouse, and a brewery. The visit demonstrated how technology has found its place in agricultural study and what monitoring and automation farming deals with nowadays.
This meeting was an excellent opportunity to understand the project’s financial, strategic, and collaborative dimensions better. It also created networking opportunities and the possibility of exploring future cooperation.
